    Default 24v transformer question

    61hLxAaC0xL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

    This transformer has a 120v input and 24v output.

    In Canada the we use 110v, is this a usable transformer for me?

    It will work just fine.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mains_...orth%20America.

    In the United States and Canada, national standards specify that the nominal voltage at the source should be 120 V and allow a range of 114 V to 126 V (RMS) (−5% to +5%). Historically, 110 V, 115 V and 117 V have been used at different times and places in North America.

    Err. What are you going to power with that. 10W is the same as 10VA. a Modern pachi is about 250VA. A 10 year old is about 160VA A 20year old is about 100VA.

    10W might run a vintage or a couple of data counter.

    5A = 5x24 = 120VA / 120W
    So that rating or larger. A 120-150VA rating should be alright.

    I have a vintage with a normal 12v light system, but also has a 24VAC 1.5W motor to operate the center feature. I needed a small transformer instead of one powerful enough for a modern pachinko like you are looking for.
    This is pretty much what I was going to be searching for..so thank you for supplying the Amazon information. I already ordered one, and already have a transformer to convert from 24VAC to 12DC for the rest of the machine.

    That’s only a 1 amp transformer; but the original one was 5 amp? Is this for a vintage or modern?

    If for a modern you’re going to have issues.
