Hey all!
I'm totally new to Pachislo, and I'm loving it. Unlike the instant gratification of todays society, I love the delayed gratification of the jackpots with the bonus spins. I do have some questions on how to read the payouts, my machine seems to start talking to me and turning red with crazy music at weird times. I don't hit a jackpot or anything, it just starts up, am I missing something?

And I think I have identified my machine as a Sammy Club Rodeo model, am I on the correct track?

Also, I can't seem to play just 1 or 2 credits, I have to play 3. Is this normal or is there a hiccup with my machine?

It's definitely a Sammy (with custom graphics), but I'm not sure if it's a Club Rodeo.. The name might be on the back or inside (in Japanese)..

If you compared the music and whats on the screen to videos of Club Rodeo you could know for sure.. Usually its easy to match up the real symbols with pictures of different machines reel symbols, but since the reel graphics have been changed we cant do that this time..

It looks like Sammy had 14 games in this frame, and 8 of those had a led screen, so it's def one of those!!

Max bet only!! At this time companies put 123 bet and max bet machines in the same frames, so the buttons are there and seem to work on max bet machines, but you still have to bet 3!!

Pachis use different music and sounds to clue you in on things about to happen or just to tease you.. I would guess if music is going on for a long time, but it's not in a bonus, it might be in a mode waiting for you to get into a bonus.. If so it will most likely wants you to land on three 7's and will let you actually stop on them and not slip the reels.. just a guess..

I got Rodeo because it says Rodeo at one point on the LED screen, and that's the only English that is ever displayed.

Since there are only 8 frames with the led screen like mine, I could match it up if I knew where to look for a list of them. I went to pachislodb.com but had no success, I am having trouble navigating the site! And it is not this one or this one...

My machine has no Machine Name identifying labels in it, I even used Google translate to translate all the labels on and in the machine. The only close hit I got was "Sammy Shirai". I know that google translate isn't perfect.

My machine also only displays Japanese (except when 'Rodeo' scrolls by), and yells at me in Japanese as well, I found the tutorial on adding volume control and I have that as one of my next projects. So whatever game I has looks to be Japanese only as well.

Thanks for the help, I just picked up a second machine yesterday, (will post pics soon), and all I can say is wow, this hobby is already addicting!
