Here’s one more picture, this time showing the lights that I installed. I decided not to replace the original light bulbs and sockets. Instead, I bought a roll of high density LED strips. I cut notches into the yellow and blue translucent panels, and tucked sections of LED strips behind them. I also did the same for the red ball out light. The LEDs are so bright that I have multiple layers of parchment paper in front of them, to bring down the brightness and diffuse the light.

Here’s the link to the LEDs I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BMTT8DNT
I also bought extra connectors, because the package only comes with two, and I didn’t want to solder the other three connections.

Just seems like a waste that the manufacturer's didn't lite up all the available spots to lite the lens/covers.

Looks 100% better with everything lit up. Good job!

Yeah, and the only reason I didn't put lights behind every panel is that I liked the symmetry of the yellow and blue. So the red in the upper right and the original jackpot light panel on the left aren't lit.

I'm experimenting with adjustments now, with a next idea of putting a small block of closed cell foam with slits for the leaves in it as a damper to prevent the wobbling.
Have you (or anyone else) tried mounting a piece of rubber next to the leaf on the right, to prevent it from moving when the two make contact?

I'm thinking of trying it, wanted to see if someone has done it before.

I ended up getting it to work without anything to dampen the leaf motion. A lot of minor adjustments, but I ended up bending the contact areas closer to the (left) side where the seesaw first makes contact. I was going to the right at first and it didn't work.
Interestingly, my adjustments didn't seem to make it work reliably until I upgraded the voltage from 9V to 12V. Once at 12V it worked great for what that is worth.
