Coin Sensor Operation/Voltages

Hi,
I have coin mech with a 2 pin (magnet) and a 4 pin (coin) sensor. The coin guide plate and spring are missing from the coin mech. I fabricated a piece of aluminum to prevent the coin from falling to the tray and it now passes through the 4 pin sensor and falls into the hopper but it's not registering any credits.

The four pin sensor has a red, a yellow, a blue and a black wire. With the machine turned on, the voltage over black/red is 10v and 0v between black/yelllow and black/blue. As the token passes through the 4 pin sensor, voltage on the yellow and blue remains at 0v. Can anyone let me know if that's normal? I would have thought there would be some change to act as an input to "wherever".

assuming its an otocoupler. That would sound right. It works as a switch on the blue/yellow rather than a voltage transmitter. You might have more luck doing a resistance test or continuity test rather than checking for voltage.

I tested the coin sensor and found one diode out. I didn't have the part so I improvised. The sensor/diode findings then showed normal during the bench test. (See attached pic).

However, that didn't fix the "credits not registering" issue.

The machine does reset without an issue. I did notice that, after reset and closing the door, all of the "1 2 3 Token" lights are on. I'm not sure if that's normal. I thought they only came on when dropping in tokens. Can anyone confirm that please? (See pic pp1)

I also noticed that, beside the Reset Button there is a 3 pin connector with the wires missing. I thought that maybe it's for the "soft reset", but there is no hardwared on the door lock mechanism to suppot that. I was also wondering if it maybe a "door lock" sensor circuit connector. Any help on that please? (See pics pp2 & pp3)

I have ordered an "Everything Pachilso Manual" but I may not receive it until January 2nd.

I now have the Everything Pachislo Manual and I've gone through the check procedures on the coin mechanism and found nothing that helped fix the "credits not registering issue. I also visted the links from Drunkenclam but the door mecanisms weren't shown. I posted the information below yesterday but I think I posted it in a previous date thread. I'm posting it again. Diodes in a electronic circuit do more than make the power go only one way . Could you post a photo what's printed on the diode? Many thanks

Electronic Token Counter Circuit

Does anyone know where I could purchase the Optical Sensor Part#: P806A:? See the attached image. I've been to Digikey, Mouser and Newark (Canada) and I have found a few sensors that look very close but, none with the actual part number. I could be chasing my tail however, I did find the identical sensor part number for my Bingo machine. It's a 5 pin optical sensor. I was actually shocked when I saw the matching part number.

As a side: I've been trying to attach the Data Sheet for that Bingo (Bellco) optical sensor but, for some reason the Pachitalk server won't accept the file. Tells me it's an "Invalid File". Here's the file name: GP1A58HR.pdf. I can also email it to anyone if need be.
