Kitac Juggler 1996 - Token Mechaism Bypass

Hi,
I've picked up an old 1996 Kitac Juggler (with a Pink Panther belly glass so I was told).

I paid $50 for it and bought it only to learn more about... whatever. I like challenges, reseaching reseach and I have fun with it.

The coin mechanism is missing it's steel plate that pivots over the magnet and also the small spring that retracts that steel plate.

The machine seems to handle the reset procedure okay but the coin mechanism doesn't click. I guess that's because there's no plate to hit the (2 wire) magnet. I've also blocked "drop through points" to force the token to run past the magnet and the down stream (4 wire) sensor and land up in the hopper. However, it doesn't register as a credit.

I was wondering (just for diagnosis) if there was a way of by-passing the coin mechanism all together. I don't want to buy a coin mech. before I know what else the unit might need.
