    Default Hardware

I made a cabinet from pine to hold my Apollo machine. What type of hardware is everyone using to secure the game to the cabinet?

I always just used two wood screws per side just drilled/screwed from the outside into the wood frame just making sure the screws weren't too long so I didn't screw into anything important!!

Something similar for the bottom, should still have some sort of thing at the top. Good if you feel the need to change machines now and then.

I haven't seen any free standing cabinet designs that can handle an open door though.

I use four 1 1/4" screws. Pretty simple and effective.

Similar to how MrGneiss does it. I choose to use chrome finish washers with the screws, to dress it up a bit.

If you didn't want to see the screws, screw from the inside.

Four 1.25" screws for me as well. I'm tempted to get some of those Japanese clamps though for the next time I put one into a cabinet. They're pretty cheap to experiment with anyway.

Thanks for the ideas. I used three #8 wood screws on the top and the bottom. Nice and secure.

Wonder if you could use the clamp on the top too

Only if it's a close fit, otherwise it pulls up in the top. Some wooden frames don't take it well

I do use the clamps featured in post #5 for the base of the machines. But they don't work at the top. But because its me. Lucky I also brought the top brackets as well. which includes the worm gears for adjusting the angle of the machines as well. But I haven't fitted them. A lot of newer machines have metal sides and only wooden tops. So can't be secured from the side. unless you drill through the metal first.
