    Thank you!

When I mailed you the broken part yesterday, I meant to include a paper template that I made so you would know where the holes were for the broken upper r/s & l/s ears. I'll USPS it your way later today.

Geezo! Didn't think I'd have to write "FRAGILE" on it, how disappointing.

Thanks to the pictures from SibSr, I took the out of balls micro switch apart and found the button had become lodged inside the switch. I fiddled with it for a while and I think the problem is the "C" shaped piece of brass inside the switch mechanism needs to be tweaked a bit to make the button spring up and down as well as make and break contact for the light to work, which it's not doing either right now. I'll work on it some more tomorrow and see what I can do with it.

Thank you Sibsr for the close up picture, yes, that's going to help a great deal as I can already see what I believe to be the issue with the piece that makes contact with the white button, mine needs some adjusting.

The pictures of the micro switch inside and out really helped, thanks again SibSR. Took me a few tries but I was able to bend in innards to where the contacts work and the button pops back up without getting jammed inside the switch mechanism. Added a couple of LED lights today along with a 9v battery on / off box.

I like the box. Is that from Amazon?

Your center feature has been reconstructed using the pieces you sent me.

    Sparkyscenter.jpg

The template for reconstructing the mounting ears arrived yesterday and I have started on that process.

Wow! Thank you! What type of glue are you using for all these fixes you do?

Yes, the 9v battery box is from Amazon, the wires are kind of small, but I've powered 4 LED's and not any issues at all, they didn't even get warm.

Gap filling / thick superglue that I get at the hobby shop. Superglue is the only thing that will adhere all these different materials and dry fast, and dry strong.

I also added extra plastic pieces, and a metal wire at the points where there had been breakage for extra reinforcement.

    Sparkyscenterfix.jpg

The white rectangle of plastic is glued to the back of the 2 broken pieces in this location, and spans the repaired crack to provide more strength. And the wire does the same thing for the little square platform to attach to since the original connection was wimpy.

    Sparkyscenterfixwire.jpg

The box itself got a little extra rigidity by adding an extra wire to the back

    Sparkyscenterboxsupport.jpg

And then the wire went into one of the bottom grooves

    Sparkyscenterboxsupportfix.jpg

    Sparkyscenterboxsupportinplace.jpg

and is now held in the groove with a good dousing of superglue

Then a little putty in the remaining gaps

    Sparkyscenterputtied.jpg

The mounting ears are tricky in that I'm replacing missing material, which means color matching of the repair with the original plastic is a challenge.
Probably going to have to paint it which I had avoided so far.

Nice little tutorial, way more involved than anything I've ever taken on. I've tried regular model glue, regular super glue and gorilla glue, didn't really hold, but now I can see there's a lot more it.

Since I am in tutorial mode, here is the rest of the process so far.
So I created a paper template for then creating a "gasket" out of thin plastic.

    Sparkyscentertemplate.jpg Sparkyscentertemplate2.jpg

The result is a new surface behind the damaged areas, that can be used as a backing plate for attaching and holding together the new pieces.

    plasticbackingplate.jpg

Then the three pieces are created to match as close as possible to the missing material.

    Sparkyscenternewparts.jpg

I only superglued the top edges of the parts to start as I didn't want them to be attached to the backing plate until I'm ready

    Sparkyscenternewpartsglued2.jpg

Rear view shows the parts in place, and once they are sanded flat with the original plastic, the backing plate will be glued down to hold everything together a little better.

After shaping and sanding here are your new ears Sparkyscentersanded.jpg

Then the backing plate was glued to the back of the piece, and after drying the excess was trimmed off.

    plasticbackingplateglued.jpg plasticbackingplatetrimmed.jpg

I found a model paint that is very close to the right color and primed the white parts with it.

    plasticbackingplatepainted.jpg

I used your template to drill the holes and found that I was off on my ear positioning by 1 or 2 mm, so a small sliver of plastic was added on the left side to get more plastic between the hole and the edge of the piece.

    Sparkyscenterreadyforpaint.jpg

A round of putty, some more sanding and shaping and it looked good enough to prime

Also, The 3D load lever for your arrangeball has been printed and tested in the Pachinko that it came out of and seems to be working well.
A final high quality finished version is printing now and it will be in the box with the tray and the center piece
