I aquired one of these this weekend, fantastic machine indeed. I read a much earlier thread here in this section of the forum that inferred that you could change the main character in the fever qualifying mode between the lion, the monkey or the ostrich. Anyone out there know how to do that? I've tried a few things, no luck.

Do you get a fever yet to test your theory? That’s the sort of thing that would be selected via the chance button (if it has a chance button) I’m not familiar with that particular model though.

There’s many other models that let you pick different characters.

All done by the button that says "push": push it once to cycle 3 screens in Japanese, push it again to cycle 3 characters. Push it one more time to select the character that's currently highlighted. You can only do this when there are no active spins.

Thanks Rock. We'll give that a try before it goes into clean/partial restoration. It will share a daverob dongle (for a little while anyway) with our Indiana Jones Sankyo in the playroom but we'll for sure need another ball lifter!
