    Default Hesitating Beast Sapp

I just managed to pick up a beast sap machine at a decent price, brought it home, cleaned it up and it seemed to be working fine except for two things, the number one real hesitates and jerks 3 to 5 times before it starts spinning, but once it starts spinning everything works good. The second thing is the metal lights are constantly on, I'm not sure if that's what you call them but I'm talking about that lights that show when you put the first second and third quinine before spinning the wheels. If anyone out there has any suggestions as to what I could check I would appreciate it. I tried unplugging every plug on the machine and that didn't seem to help, I removed the first wheel and apply a little WD-40 at the motor but that didn't work. So again any help would be greatly appreciated thank you all.

Sounds like the sensor is dirty on your reel. There is a tab on the inside of the reel that passes through a U-shape optic sensor, this is what tells the motherboard where the reel position is. If it can't tell where it is, the machine wants to stop the reel from spinning. That's why it is "jerking".

The Medals Lights are suppose to be ON. When you press the Max Bet button, the 2nd and 3rd bet lights flash OFF then back ON briefly.
What if...the HOKEY POKEY, is what it's all about?

I took the wheel apart but did not see any sensor like you described, I cleaned the contacts anyway but it's still not working right, it's still jerking

I'm not exactly sure of what you are saying, but I think you want me to upload some photos of the reel in question. I can do that by now I need instructions on how to do that. Because I'm new and I don't know how to upload photos.

    Thank you

PS I failed to mention the fact that the lights in the reel that is hesitating are dim.

The lights dimming implies that something is using a lot of power. It may be that the motor for the bad reel is having issues and takes time to spin up. Does it dim until the reel starts to move? Something is having a hard time spinning. Either there is resistance in the reel itself (bad gear or something rubbing against it that makes it harder to move) or the motor is bad.
I don’t know if it’s a multi-phase motor, because that could complicate things further and it could be on the control board then, but the lights dimming implies the motor or direct physical resistance more than an issue in starting the motor from the control board. To see if it’s the board or the reel just connect a good reel to the board where the bad reel was (swap two reels when reassembling). If the problem follows the reel it’s the motor. If the problem stays with the position it’s the controller.

I think now you're right it might be the control, because what I did was remove the power line going to the first reel that is hesitating and hooked it to the #2 reel, and then that will start a hesitating. The lights stay dim all the time whether it's spinning or not.
