My 2 cents... I looked at the first one, and the price is ok, but shipping to Florida from Illinois is shown as $183.00. If you look at the shipping details they have their shipping costs calculated using USPS. After buying quite a few machines on eBay, I have noticed this to be a common trend among pachinko sellers. There is a little trick here to game the system. They post a machine using a USPS quote which is always high, and then they use a discount shipping site like Parcel Monkey to get a drastically lower actual shipping cost.

I have now observed this tendency more than once. Since I'm retired, I have seen machines dropped off here in a UPS truck that were not originally listed as using UPS. Conversely, there are people who don't use this scam such as the machine I got on eBay and shipped from Indiana for a total price of $105. Or the Daiichi from Cali a month ago for less than $100 shipping.

On ParcelMonkey.com machines coming to Florida from the East coast are around $40-$50, Midwest/ Texas $50-$75, Cali machines $80 /$100 / $125 range. All of these are considerably less than a standard UPS quote but still uses that delivery system for the actual movement of the machine.

There is a Maruhon on eBay right now that I was sent an offer on, and his shipping cost comes up as $440 from Michigan to Florida. I declined the offer and told him if he got his shipping costs down to a reasonable range I would buy it. It is still listed and re-listed a couple times already with no change in shipping

The second one is coming from China, so actually $300 shipping from China is not bad since it can cost over $400 just to get one from Michigan

Speaking of double takes...I was looking at the same exact machine this morning, shipping threw me until I noticed the EXACT machine posted on F.Mkt here in St Pete. Hmmmmm, at first I thought it was a scam with two identical machines posted over a thousand miles apart and posted within an hour of each other. I tried contacting the seller on Ebay with no response, FM I asked how does one sell a machine in separate parts of the world. Long story short, she's from Illinois, moved down here a couple of weeks ago, listed game on both sites but didn't update her local with Ebay, hence the automated shipping quote and location there. Suffice to say it was just a few miles from me downtown. Mystery solved.100_3903.JPG100_3905.jpg
