    Default Big Bear 'n me

Okay, I admit, I'm a Pachi junkie to the tenth degree!

I've been looking at a couple of Pachislos that peaked my interest, the Las Vegas by Olympia, and the Aristocrat model Kyojin no Hoshi, better known as Baseball. Something about a 5 reel machine that said, "Get me, I'm yours!"

There is one on eBay ending Sunday (Milt's) and right now the price is right. But we all know that won't last!

Anyway, looking around comparing prices I notice Gaku at Big Bear has a Las Vegas! I contact him, order it and I'm sitting here smug as a bug in a rug, very pleased with myself. I keep looking when suddenly it hit me. Right there on his Shopping page is Kyojin no Hoshi, the very Baseball 5 reel machine I want!

Wow! I call Gaku and asked if he actually had one. He did, just one! "It's mine," I screamed over the phone, "How much?"

Gaku calmly told me $150 plus $69.00 shipping. "Yes, yes, mine, mine" I holler in my excitement.

When I finally calmed down enough so Gaku could get a word in edgewise he said, "Why not get a third machine for eleven dollars more, on the three machine special?"

GASP! My pick of the machine too!

Weeeellll, needless to say I took him up on the offer and ordered the Fire Drift by Sammy! "It is a nice machine, even has a TV," said Gaku.

I could have gotten my second King Camel as the third machine, but Fire Drift has been calling me of late too. The King Camel can wait until another day, it doesn't mind.

Nice choices on your three machines in that awesome offer by Gaku. Now my other question is, as much as I like the King Camel myself, why a second one?

Thanks Tulsa. I know I'll enjoy them all.

Why a second King Camel? As Oscar the fish might say, "Just for the halibut!"

Right there's the mark of a high-class dealer.

Boy, you have that right, John! Gaku is really high-class!

Thanks, I'll enjoy them all, and I've already promised the other machines that I won't ignore them either!

Gaku is really on the ball at his website. Yesterday when we hung up the phone, I went to his Shopping page to get the correct spelling of "Kyojin no Hoshi." When I got there the price and the "Order" button had disappeared already!

How many other vendors would leave that up, and after you try to order tell you, "Sorry, that item is no longer in stock."

I'd really like to take a trip to Willis, Texas just to meet this man!

The second was a 2004 model.

Ah ha! I'm pretty sure it will be the 2002 model.

I'm basing this on the belly glass. The picture on Big Bear's site shows the player in the center, as does Milt's.

at-slots: Hoo boy, John, I know who to ask if something goes "phzzzzzt" on one of these machines! Do you make house calls to Arkansas?

So you don't know where Arkansas is. Hmmm, I'll tell you. It's in the middle of No-where, and Pine Bluff is in the center of that!

Tell you what, I'd take that trip down I-40 if I could get my hooks into a Spin Luck.

Careful what you read into that! :lmao:
