    Question Taco Slot - H. E. error + reel doesn't always spin

Hello, this is my first post here. Thanks in advance for any advice or assistance anyone can provide. I tried to find some info on my questions here, but I think I need a bit more guidance, please!

I am a pinball guy, but I recently was contacted by a friend to try to help them get their Taco Slot pachislo working.

I checked it out and found 2 blown 3 amp fuses on the power supply box. Ordered and installed new fuses--game turns on.

We can coin it up and play it now. Most lights and features appear to be working, but when we hit the payout button it played a repetitive melody thru the speaker while flashing H.E. which I believe means Hopper Empty or Hopper Error? It won't stop doing it until you do the several-step reset procedure with the key etc. Then it will work fine until we try to get it to pay out. Not sure if the blown fuses are a clue here, or if it's possible they just blew due to line conditions at the outlet it was plugged into.

Another question (though I'm really trying to clear the H.E. problem first and foremost): I also noticed one or 2 of the spinning reels seem to get a bit stuck sometimes or run a little slow. Anything I can check/clean/lube to fix it?

Thanks for any/all help!!! It's very, very much appreciated! There are some grandkids out there who don't get to play their beloved Taco Slot when they come visit! I want to correct that situation pronto!

    WELCOME!!!

Sorry I'm mostly useless with pachislos, but was wondering if when you play, win and it goes above the 50 credits does it pay out or does it give you the same error??

Also, sometimes if you post pictures (inside and out) it can be helpful or someone might spot something!!

Here's a link to a posting pics how to!!

    Welcome
    yes HE is hopper error
can you spin the dial by hand
check and clean the sensor where the coins should spit out
what type of coins are you using?
Check all the connection pins to the hopper

also the delay in reels spinning may be what the machine should do if you fast play the machine
in Japan you were only allowed a certain number a spins a minute so they have a built in delay feature
    pics always help
    DON'T FEED THE
