We had an older couple in the diner one day who had a nice dinner and went on their way. About an hour later we got a call from the gent who said he believed his wife had wrapped her dentures in a napkin and left them on the table. He offered $100 for the safe return. (of course, we would not have taken the money). Anyway my husband made the mistake of mentioning the $100 to the kitchen workers as we started going through the trash bins. Stuff was flying everywhere but the dentures were never found. The next day he the gent called back to say they were safely tucked inside her purse. That is just one little story. You can not imagine the things that are in our lost and found box.
