Another Castle theme Model B

A couple of years ago I had this same machine and did a custom dragon theme. https://www.pachitalk.com/forums/sho...chinko-machine

I picked this one up a few days ago for just a few dollars and was close to home. Thinking I'd just use it for parts, cause it is in pretty poor shape, the frame is broken in half, dirty and rusty. But it has no missing parts and all the covers were there. Seems like there's always covers missing.

I think I'll try to bring this one back to life, instead of using it for parts. I do like the Double strike tulip, (under the center feature). One ball goes into the tulip to open it as normal, but it takes two balls to close it. I usually like to theme a machine from the center feature, in this case a castle. I'm thinking of a Knight theme for the playfield this time.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but I think the frame might have a small crack!!

Got the machine taken apart. Thought I'd start on the playfield first, so I got everything removed from it.

Cleaned and touched up the playfield pieces. Clean and polished the nails. Whitened the yellowed plastic pieces.

Started designing the new playfield and should have it done and put back together tomorrow.

Usually about 6 days to get one done.

I normally work on it in sections. First couple of days for disassembly and playfield, next couple of days for door and frame and last couple of days for the back and wiring.

So, next is the door and all associated pieces and the frame, which is broken. Probably will just use another from inventory.

Very nice Wayne-Ooo, turned out fantastic. Did you wind up replacing the frame? Chrome looks like new.

Thanks, I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Yes, I did use another frame being that the original was broken.

I used a different chrome frame also, due to the rust. I could of painted the original, but thought a chrome frame would look better.

Everything else is original. It either got cleaned or painted.
