delsol reels not spinning

my delsol machine reels wont spin takes tokins adds tokins to count when you hit the handle down or up nothing

question is the handle how do you check the switch part of it ---has a little arm that just leaves the area of a little c shaped area when i took it apart theres no actual button in it

tried continuity tester with no results

thinking it breaks a field of electricity or something

once again im lost

any ideas to put me in the right direction would be appreciated

Depending on the age of the machine. Most have an led diagnostic matrix on the motherboard. that will light up when any button/ sensor/switch is active. Most also use an opto interupter to detect button/lever presses.
They have very simple inputs. a bit like a childs toy keyboard. They can only accept one input at a time. If any stop button/ bet button is stuck. it stops the signal of anything else including the start lever. So although you say the start lever doesn't work. the fault might be somewhere else.

thanx for the info ill look into other buttons and that indicater light on board ,,,ive seen when i was moving the reels a light would come on then off so ill hook the switch back up and see if i can find a light coming on and off

down the rabbit hole i go

did like u said and the lever up or down does cut a light on -on the board

every switch cuts a light on - on the board but the 1 and 2 butons

I would expect all buttons to work even if the aren't used. Is there any lights stuck on?

its wierd you say that when i was checking the other buttons like u suggested ,,,i noticed that the 1 light in the (what im gonna call a cluster) bottom middle of pic stays on and theres 1 light top right of pic and 3 top left of pic the 3 top left look like thats where power for the board comes in but not sure there are numbers under each light ,,,is there a key or a way i can find out what each light repersents

I’ve always started by unplugging and reseating, cleaning all the contact
next check the board for bulging or fried components
good news is del sole has a lot of donor machines
will get better technical advice from others

ive gone into and unpluged and cleaned every thing i saw

and have no differant results not sure where to go from here

looking for a second working delso so i could interchange parts till i find the problem

love the way this machine looks

any lights stuck on or fail to do anything

these include, door reset switch, reel zero sensors, stop buttons, start lever, bet buttons. 2 the sietches that change the play after bonus. etc.

the 1 and 2 buttons dont activate an light on the main board all other buttons,levers ,and door switch cut on a light

yes about lights always on ........ 3 top left always on and 1 on top right of a cluster of 16 - IMG_2473.jpg

It you say. they all activat a light execpt buttons 1 and 2. that might be a place to look. try unplugging the buttons and se if that makes a difference. or iff possible. plug the max bet button into where the 1 button is and see if thats different.

apart from that. I got nothing. sorry.

i see what ur saying use a working switch in those spots to see if it works

Yep. A lot of the switches and buttons use opto switches. So it's not the easiest to test for some people as your trying to measure 5v logic signals rather than a standard on/off switch.
