I just picked up this machine and I'm hoping to learn more about it. This is my first machine so please forgive me.

I'll post a few more photos tomorrow but I'm curious about:

What does "hit counter" mean and do, right behind the coin slot?Some numbers show there occasionally on a hit but then disappear on the next spin.

I've only played a few minutes but there is no music, only sounds. I wonder if that's normal or if the music will show up later in the game.

There are two very small dip switches on the inside of the door, on a circuit board, next to the reel window, labeled 1 and 2 below and "on" above them. No idea what they do.

It has a reset key slot on the power supply but the previous owner didn't have it, only the main cabinet key. Wondering how to solve this without opening the power supply and bypassing somehow / replacing with a switch.

I can see how collecting these could get addictive!

Pachis will usually only play music while in a Bonuses etc..

Reset key switches are often replaced with a simple on off switch!!

Please post more pics especially of the areas you have questions about..They can be very helpful with figuring stuff out!!

I'll get those additional photos posted today. Funny, I can't seem to find this exact model anywhere online.

I also just purchased some additional tokens from eBay, as well as a bunch of replacement LED bulbs. Hope they all work.

Two more questions:

The "medals" to the right of the reels do not illuminate. I'm pretty sure they are not supposed to (just decoration) but interested to know if anyone has a different opinion. I might try to get inside there and see.

Another newbie question - anyone know what works well to polish the chrome / remove any small pitting on the chrome/metal?

Not sure what those switches are.. Maybe they are the same as the switches that are usually found on the power supply??

Two switches on the power supply:
- One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
- The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

有 = on

Google translate says the character printed on the circuit board directly to the right of dip switches says "calculate". Hmmm...
