Default Homemade switch mod for a missing master key

So I received 2027 Revise without any keys and a dead battery for the system memory so it always starts with the infamous E1.
Hunting around, the only key I could find would have cost almost $60 and taken a minimum of a month to get here.
So I took apart the power supply and realized the switch for the key only has two leads.
Was super easy to solder on two more leads and run them to a switch I had kicking around.

Now I just need to reset the level every time I plug the game back in.
It's kind of funny I'm comfortable tearing apart the power supply and mounting a new switch inside but I won't break the seals to replace the battery for the memory.
