A little update...couldn't find a playfield I liked and since this machine had so much green, I decided to go with a leprechaun theme. I was playing around with various cartoon characters, but wasn't 100% sold on the images, Wayne-Ooo suggested I take a look at a 1961 Warner Bros Loony Tunes "The Wearing Of The Grin". I love the old the old Looney Tunes, so this was a no brainer. Ordered some gold balls from Peteybob, figured that would help with the theme. Just waiting on the print shop to get the playfield printed and I'm going to be reassembling everything.

Though my opinion may be a little bias.

    I think it looks perfect.

Got the new playfield on, ball rails & attractions attached, mounted in frame, pretty happy with how it's turning out. Still working on cleaning the back pieces, being very careful because I left all the wiring intact, I don't want to even think about having to solder / rewire all the connections.

    Just a thought.

Maybe some shamrock numbers for the 16 pockets at the bottom.

My wife suggested the same thing, but I lacked a template to create them. How or what program did you use to make those? I used "Paint" & Photoshop to create some colored circles with accents to try to tie in the red & orange attractions on the playfield, along with the shade of green on the front plastics, but I haven't attached them to the pockets yet.

I didn't create them. I Google searched for images of shamrock numbers clip art and this is what I found.

I would create a strip, (like you did the playfield). Print a strip with just the lines and lay it on the plastic piece with the 16 pockets. Print a copy of the shamrock numbers and cut out the shamrocks and position/glue to the strip, lining up with the correct pocket. Then make a copy of it and laminate the strip.

Thanks to my wife & Wayne-Ooo for the inspiration & motivation to cut out 16 tiny little shamrock numbers......dang that was hard, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. Kept some orange & red stripes to match the playfield plastics so there's not too much green. After looking around at various clip art designs, I kind of liked the ones Wayne-Ooo shared above so I took the liberty of "borrowing" them, shrunk them down a little, good to go.

It is small things like this, that truly make a custom machine.

    Very, Very well done.

( and your wife has excellent design ideas)

Finished it up today, thanks for all the answers to questions I've had during the process, not really much harder than a vintage pachinko, but some of the electrical presented some challenges, such as the leaf switches. But everything worked first try when I powered it up, so I'm very happy! Played all afternoon, much more fun now that the nails are adjusted to be more home use friendly. Had a broken lower hinge on the green plastic door, wish it was metal like my pachinkos. I was able to hot glue gun a 1/4" x 1" aluminum bushing to the frame, then used a piece of wire, pivots open and closed now. Broke a small chrome trim piece on the lower left while disassembling it, might try to use some epoxy to reshape the broken corner, then paint it, we'll see.

Need to do some green touch up painting on the frame and perhaps the lettering on the front lower "chrome" (rattle can chrome). Also want to do something about it not having a working latch to keep the cabinet closed, got some good ideas from Wayne-Ooo, so that's my next project.

So, are you addicted to Arrangeball yet?

Though similar to Pachinko in many ways, the object of the game is completely different.

My wife just loves playing Arrangeball. It is at least an hour, or longer, before I get a chance to play.

Oh, absolutely, my wife is very similar, likes my pachinkos and pinball, but really enjoys playing the arrangeball.

When I started taking this apart, I noticed the ball feed lever had multiple cracks running around where it pivots on the brass stud, I checked all my pachinko machines, none of them had a lever that could be used to replace it. I was contemplating slathering epoxy on it to reinforce it, but in talking with Wayne-Ooo, he graciously offered up a "spare" he had in his treasure trove of parts. Big shout out of "THANKS" to Wayne-Ooo for providing me with a part that works perfectly.

I saved the original, didn't put any epoxy on it, perhaps some day I'll have a 3D printer and use this one as a starting point to create a reproduction piece.
