    Default Getter Mouse

    Hey all!

picked up a (new to me) Getter Mouse slots! Got it cleaned up and started sorting out the issues with it. Stop reel board needed new caps so that fixed my stop button issue.

I have a new issue I can’t seem to track down. When I hit a bonus and it tries to pay out it will spit out 15-20 medals and go into a HE error. I pulled the coin bin and dissembled to clean everything and everything looks good. I cleaned the optisensor really good, reassembled, and still have the same issues. I see the bin led light up on the board and go off when I turn it off using the switch on the bin.

I am not sure why it won’t payout the correct medals, but I have to do a reset every time I go over 50 medals. Bin is full, but it acts like it’s empty

    thoughts? Ideas?

    john

This is normally a sign that the sensor in the hopper isn't detecting the tokens leave. That would be where I would start.
could be a bent or missing finger that breaks the light beam.

easy way to test is put 5 or 6 tokens in. then hit the cash out button. if it counts down the tokens then stops. its not the sensor. if it spits out about 15 tokens and doesn't count down. its the sensor or part of the mech for it.

Appreciate the reply I will give that a try tonight. Any idea who sells the sensor? I may pull a known good one from a different machine to see if that fixes anything also

    thanks again!

Pulled the hopper to re-clean and see if anything is out of place. Here is the sensor for the hopper. As the coin passes through the levers make/break the sensor. 8C8424E1-0AA4-4428-891F-5870D89A653A.jpg

this is the sensor out of the machine. Where can I find one of these?

I unscrewed the “door” covering where the coins shoot out. It looks like a sensor is missing but if there is I see nowhere to plug it in. I am thinking design change and the were using up what they had??

I don't see the lever that breaks the light beam in the picture

First picture is of the sensor in the machine. As a coin moves through the slot the the metal blades move out of the sensor path opening and closing the connection. The third picture is where the coin passes through and it looks like a sensor should be there but there isn’t one and if there is supposed to be one there is no place to plug in a connector on the hopper board

OK. Cool. So it makes the beam when a token comes out.
One trick (but isn't perfect) is look at the sensor when powered up with a mobile phone camera (not apple products. Sorry) if the emitter is working you will see a blue light on. But this doesn't show if the receiver is working. But it does all sound like a duff sensor.

Looked on eBay and found that a member here sells parts (keep4safety)Found 3 sensors that look like they are correct and will work! Hoping this will fix the issue!

Got my sensors today and put one in. Woot Woot! Fixed it and it’s now working Wife actually was interested and played for 1/2 hour or so. She even said that one is her favorite “so far”……I guess that means I can get more
