Default Aruze Max 711 reel problem

Reel 1 does not stop when I press the stop button. The other 2 work. Eventually reel 1 will stop but it takes awhile. I switched the reels 1 and 2 and still had the same problem. I checked all connects and found nothing wrong. I disconnect and reconnected all connector and still have the problem.
When I bought the machine there were several broken wires which I fixed. Everything appears to be working correctly except reel one. Any ideas.

The main board feed to the Reel one that circuit on the board may have a bad component on it . Electronic troubleshooting is in order .

How to troubleshoot down to the component level without schematics (wire and component ,transistors, integrated circuits, capacitors, resistors, led , fuses, switches, diodes , ect)

Reel one stop button could be a optical switch (pushing the button breaks the beam ) it's a two piece switch an infrared l.e.d. and a receiver . one or both components could be bad.

I would suspect the button it's self. Especially as a lot use opto sensors rather than a physical switch.

Since I switched reels and had the same problem the reels are OK. Any idea on how to test the optical switch or maybe clean it.

I found and fixed the problem. When I repaired the broken wires on the connector that goes from the reel stop board to the reels I crossed a couple. Once I corrected the problems all the reel stop buttons work.
