Pachislo cr code error

My pachislo displays a cr code error every time I drop a token in. I can get rid of it several ways but it happens every time I drop a coin in therefore the machine won’t play. I took the coin acceptor off and cleaned it thoroughly but that didn’t help. Please advise, thanks 🙏

Have you done a Reset on your machine ?

Hello, I have done every reset I know of. You can turn the front key to the left and stop it. You can press the red button inside next to the reset key and stop it. You can do a hard reset and stop it. But every time you drop a token in, it comes back.

The other question - did the machine work correctly previously or did you acquire it with the issue?

You may also want to try to disconnect and reconnect the wire harness connections in the vicinity of coin validator (and all of them really). Clear pictures of your machine are always good for diagnosis assistance.

Any obvious answer would be one of the token acceptor sensors is faulty or wiring loom damaged. Some machines have 2,3 or even 4 sensors in them. To determine the token is going the right way and someone isn’t trying to fraud the machine.
if the machine doesn’t get the right signals in the right order from the token acceptor, it assumes its being tampered with and throws up an error.

Check the wiring for any damage, clean the sensors. Failing that replace them.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from said it was playing fine while his grandkids were playing it, it started doing this. I could post pictures or even a video here but Idk how.

Ok I will check the wiring. Another guy said clean the sensors too but I don’t exactly what they are. I had the coin acceptor out and cleaned it really good I thought but that didn’t help.

By the way guys , thanks for helping me with this. Sorry I was away a couple days. So I just took the coin acceptor off and cleaned it again with alcohol. Also cleaned what I thought are the sensors. Still doing the same thing. One other thing; I noticed in the videos that on a hard reset when the play lever is pressed after you change the odds the odds number on the front goes to zero. This machine doesn’t do that. When you put the play lever down nothing happens. The numbers on the front change to zero when you turn the reset key back to off. Then I have zeros in the credit and win and the “insert coins” light flashes like it’s ready to play. But as soon as you drop a token in the bells start and the top light flashes and the “cr” pops up in the wins. Would this have something to do with it?

yeah the second for sure, I know it’s the slot type because I took the coin acceptor off to day and cleaned it.

Sensor or sensors. Without testing them its hard to be sure.
