Default 4 1990's Era Pachinko - San Jose, CA

This is my listing - https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/vgm/7546147972.html

Just got these locally, but the restoration is going to be a bit more extensive than I have time for at the moment. Selling them for half what I paid, all four for $100 cash.

Guy I bought them from was super cool and totally genuine, they've just been stored away for the better part of two decades and need to be torn down and cleaned.

Contact me via CL relay e-mail for the fastest response. I'd like them gone ASAP.

    Thanks!

Yeah, a pretty cool assortment of machines from just before the CR era.

    I've updated the posting - now instead of 4 machines for $100, it's 3 machines for $50!

I've decided to keep the Fever Queen II and go for the full tear-down and rebuild. It was the machine in the lot I was most interested in anyway as I really like the 1960's pinball-esque art package.

I did some basic cleaning, cycled the payout mech manually, cycled the shooter mech a few times before plugging it in, and allowed the jackpot actuator motor (which kicks up and opens either the 7 or 15 ball payout depending on the pocket entered) to spin for a bit... and the machine fired up and works fine. Whole thing DEFINITELY needs to be torn down completely and be cleaned / rebuilt but at least I'm starting with a functioning machine. That jackpot actuator motor sounds HORRIBLE but it probably just needs to be cleaned and have its bushings re-greased as it's turning fine - loud and clunking - but turning.

The other three machines should all be similarly okay, but I haven't / won't plug them in without doing an initial clean up, so that's for the next owner to decide.

The guy I bought them from actually used to import pachinko in the mid - late 1990's and consign them to Bay Area toy stores (Talbots, Kiddie World, etc.) as a side business. These were a few machines he kept for himself but never got around to really doing anything with. After moving them around in storage for 20+ years he finally decided to part with them. That's the condition - packed into storage for a couple decades, so the residual grime of the parlor days + years of sitting in storage have oxidized some things, plastics have degassed a bit, and motor lubricants have dried up / broken down.

There were also about 900 balls packed with one of the machines, which is always a score - keeping those of course.

    Do I spy a Heiwa with a B1f board????

If I were you, I would keep hold of the Sanyko until your fully happy with how the fever queen is working. Just a thought.

Nah, I didn't see a B1f control system board / box in the Heiwa machine.

For anyone who may encounter this thread down the line for whatever reason and wonder what the three machines above are, from left to right they are:

    New Big Shooter
    ニュービッグシューター

    Fever Powerful III
    フィーバーパワフルⅢ

    Bout Legend 2
    勝負伝説 2

New Big Shooter is a pretty cool game, a throwback / sequel to a slightly earlier era of pachinko and I almost kept it since it was so clean but I really don't have the space.

Fever Powerful III and Bout Legend 2 both looked pretty boring from videos I looked up. Fever Powerful is a generic super heroine 3x3 video reel. Bout Legend 2 is based around traditional East Asian gambling and again, looks pretty generic.

Fever Powerful III has to be the most boring machine of her series.

That said, I'm pretty sure it was Sankyo's first machine with a color LCD display - so they had nowhere to go but up. Humble beginnings and all that.
