    Default masamura vintage question

I just picked up my new old pachinko last night. My first to go with all of my pachislos.

So I take this thing down to pieces to clean it up because it's nasty dirty. During the disassembly I found a couple of 'extra' pieces that were rattling around inside the machine.

I was wondering if anyone had an old Masamura machine that they might be willing to take a couple of clear pictures of the back of so that I can see if these parts are visible and where they go.

    Thanks for any info.

cmk, can you get pictures of the parts and post 'em? That might help even for us that don't own a Masamura machine.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

Of course Tony. I will effort that this evening once I'm home from the lab.

I would have posted them right with the original post, but this whole work thing gets in my way sometimes.

    Ok, here are the photos....

    This is the unknown part:

It is about 6 1/2" long and about 3/4" wide (up and down in the photo).

I found it here (white arrow):

It was behind the see through green plastic, but it wasn't hooked to anything.

Any ideas will be appreciated. I'm sure I'll have more questions too.

My "vintage" is a Nishijin, but this looks to be the part and where it should be installed:

Not something everyone knows about the vintage machines but usually inside the long spring that works the flipper is a piece of Japanese newspaper, I suppose to dampen the spring, You can find out what was going on in Japan in the 70's!

Well I'll be. That is exactly the part location slotter!

I NEVER would have guessed that considering where I found the part. Luckily it also fixes my problem with the balls doubling up on the track. I'm happy with that.

Now, I don't suppose you have a weird little flap type object on the bottom of your machine? Here's a pic:

I'm trying to figure out what on earth this is for. You can just see the bottom of the flap at the arrow. Oddly, though, it barely moves! It's all the way "out" in the pic. If you push on the metal rod it will move "in" maybe 3-5 mm. I can't imagine what that would do since there's nothing there except the overflow tray hole.

I have a growing suspicion that someone has taken this machine apart before and things may not have been put together exactly how they should have been.....

That's a different look than my Pachinko has, cmk... perhaps, someone else can assist with it?
