2nd & 3rd reel doesn't stop

I've got an older Getter Mouse and when you stop reel number 1 (left), the reel stop lights go out on reels 2 and 3 and they cannot be stopped. If I stop reel 2 or 3 first and stop reel #1 last, it works okay. Any suggestions? If I unplug the wires and then plug them back to the buttons, the reel rights (2 & 3) come on and the reels can be stopped.

Sounds like the #1 button is getting stuck. If it isn't released, you can't stop reels 2 and 3.

yep sounds like a dirty button, we get them at school on the computers once in awhile, kids push the button to boot the machine and the button sticks then the computer won't start up. We usually fix them with a little alcohol and a qtip.

or a squirt of electronic cleaner around the button.

Thanks to everyone for your help. The contact cleaner did the trick. I sprayed the buttons as well as the plugs. Everything works fine now.
