    Default pachinko pallace changes

I noticed that they no longer finish their machines with the laminate. They are now charging $25 extra after the auction closes for this option. Just thought I would pass this along! See ebay item # 6189809313 for details.

That's a most interesting turn of the reels. Nice find David.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6189809313

There's the link.. the text reads...

You have the option (upon completion of auction) to add $25 to your order and we will finish the slot machine case in a furniture grade laminate.

Of course the bottom of the ad hasn't changed...

Furniture Grade Cabinet & Lamination -
When machines arrive from the casinos they are usually scratched, scuffed and retain the original manufacturer's handholds, screw indents and electrical channels. While this is fine and unseen when installed in a casino slot rack, the opposite is true when located in your home. We spend hours on each machine, carefully refinishing the exterior with furniture grade laminate until the finished piece is something that you would want to proudly display. We usually offer this service as an additional $60 fee but it is included in all of our Ebay auctions.

I'd be pretty upset if my machine weren't done with the laminate reading all the above. Guess they need to get the wording right. But, the bottom line is, looks as if the laminate is going to cost extra in the future.

I just popped in to check on their other auctions and I couldn't find another one with this statement in it. I checked about 12 auctions both ending before and after this one. I checked a New Pulsar to see if only the low end machines were this way, nothing. It appears this is the only one, at least for now.

is this process not worth 25.00 ?

is leather interior standard in your ford explorer or does it cost more ?

it is said that ford makes a profit of $16,000 on each explorer !!!!...so tell everbody not to buy one because they make to much on it !!!!

Did someone suggest not to buy one? I think it was merely pointed out that in the future it was going to cost more than everyone is accustomed to. It was also pointed out that it was not related to all of their offerings, only a few.

It's up the to individual to determine whether it's worth it to them or not as now they will seem to have a choice on some machines.

They've also stopped selling most of their machines with no reserve. They were famous for saying "and as always, we bring you this most rarest or rare machines with no reserve"

I think their saying still holds true about no reserve. They just start the bidding higher on some machines. But at least you know that what ever the auction ends at will be the selling price.

A number of my systems are not laminated. I kind of like them pure.

I had my first expience with laminate building a control console for my mame system. Other than really stinky glue the stuff sure gives things a professional appearence with little or no effort. My only complaint is cutting it. The stuff chips easy. One technique is to clamp it to a board but that gets expensive and difficult if you are doing a lot of it. I found it best to cut the piece a bit large then use a router around the top. This way if you do chip it, its rarely fatal.

I really like the smooth, clean look of laminate but at the same time I wonder what, if anything its hiding?
Would I buy the machine if I saw it on the sales floor without the laminate?
Is there anything to be learned about the overall condition of the machine by its original siding?

Dooster, I doubt if seeing what the case looks like before laminating would tell you much about how the machine was treated in a parlor.

Now after they are sold to the Japanese vendor, the shiper, dock workers, no telling. We've all seen pictures of a container load of pachislos with NO protection.

Then of course there are the UPS, FedEx and other gorillas that can really do a number sometimes.

Fortunately, I have been spared the UPS/FedEx bunch destruction crews...so far! I hope that 'record' stays that way for a long time!

I kind of liked the laminet on the machines, though they are harder to move around because the handles are covered up.

Some of the machines without their handle covered up are too high up in the case to displace the weight properly anyway. I really like the laminate case and am going to miss it if the offering goes away on all their machines.

    Hey guys,

I bought Azteca Legend about 3 weeks ago from pachinko pallace at ebay auction. I received the lamination without any extra cost & I got my machine with no problems in 3 days !

i would suspect that many of the machines were already laminated and boxed up. if you get one that has been in the warehouse a while it has probably already finished.

I got one Monday from pachinko pallace and it has the laminate. Great looking too. Now if I can just find out how to get my wife off it long enough to cook for me.
