Default Hello from Brooklyn; Brooklyn, Ohio that is...

Just moved "back east" after living in California for 20 years. Now that I've mostly settled down, I bought a few pachinko machines locally to repair and do a somewhat cosmetic restoration so I can have a little setup in my basement of some pachinko machines. I've always been fascinated by them, even as a kid, since my Uncle had one in his basement and my cousins and I would play it all the time. I currently have a Nishijin Model A (which the date code seems to indicate a 1977 machine) and it works great, but still needs a good cleaning. I am currently working on an early 1970's Daiichi machine (maybe from 1974?) and I rewired and installed new LED lights in both of those machines to run off a 9V battery which I mounted onto the back on the inside. I also have an early 1980's Nishijin motorized machine. That one has a bad wiring harness for sure, which I hope to replace soon. Currently it works intermittently at best. When I first got it, it didn't work at all. Found there was a bad connector on the wiring harness going to what I assume is the "motor controller" board, it wasn't getting any voltage at all to the board, hence no motorized functions worked. That one also had a bunch of foreign objects jammed up in the front ball mechanisms, sorry, not sure of the proper name of that area just yet. But I rewired that one since the power cord and fuse holder were no good, and only after doing that did I find the other problems.

I hope to learn a lot and share some information if I can once I learn more about these machines.

    Jeff
