First post!
I have recently purchased a New Gin "Bright" (?), c. '74. It's the purple mechanism. On either side appear to be the bell housings, but the bells are no longer there, replaced with metal covers to keep the balls in. Other than this, the machine works great!
So, does anyone know where I can source replacement bells?

Try the old fashioned bells for bicycles that you crank with your thumb. They still make those. I used a couple and they make a nice sound and fit pretty well. They are quieter than stock bells, which may be a bonus.
I've seen two styles, from Walmart. One has the bell screwed on, the other has a plastic post that gets melted in order to keep the bell on. I can't remember which worked better for me.
