I've never seen that center attraction, so take this FWIW...
Looks like there is a pin through the orange tab thingy, meaning it rotates. Does it move? Is it a lever/blocker that moves when a ball goes down a particular path?
That's a nice looking center attraction! How about some pics of the rest of the machine?
