Default Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire!!!

OK, apparently, all is fair in Love, War and listing pachinko games. Curt at Texasauction, three Pink Panther games ago, said there were no more PP games left to sell.

Then, without explanation, one more appeared immediately at the end of the PP auction, to be followed by another at the end of that auction.

So, how many does Curt really have to sell? My gut feeling is that there are at least 15 to 20 more of this great game sitting in TA's warehouse. I have no insider info, but looking at his past offerings, he does buy in large quantities.

It's just a bit tacky to list a game as the last one in an obvious ploy to boost the bid competition. Bidding ended at $504. It worked.

Most members here are knowledable enough to know that it's a marketing scam but he does it so that some ordinary person will come across the listing and see it not knowing anything about it and be like ''thats the last one available i better get it while i can'' instead of thinking if i wait til more of these machines get here ill be able to save 250

I really don't understan why he has to s t r e t c h the truth in all his auctions like that. He dominates the marketplace and yet is not happy

Its unfortunate that the Great Wizard of eBay dosent do more to protect the individual buyer from what is essentially (IMO) predetory sales techniques.
As Lew points out, TA dominates the marketplace with the largest volume of the widest range of machines & does the best advertizing of any other seller.
Yet he feels the need to resort to tricking the uninformed into buying his product.
Theres simply no integrity in their business practices. This is the primary reason I returned my 2 machines & wont take a reshipment. (I kept the Popeye (#3) because its in such good shape & very clean.)
When you can stand back & see them deal with everyone this way & then you get a machine that is shipped to you with problems & only a 6 mo warranty, you start to wonder how smart you are for dealing with them.
And yeah, my earlier personal opinion has changed somewhat...

I believe the Amazing Spiderman ad from the Japan based seller is more a play on the way the comic book character has always been described.

On the other hand, US vendor hype tends to be more influenced by P.T. Barnum and his "There's a sucker born every day philosophy"

Where the parlors can't do any computer changing for pay out on slow days.

Now they are set at factory for payoff and the parlors have to live with it. Now big bonus are running in the 1180 ball payoff ranges. The machines in the parlors now are are paying in that range.

Now it is against the law there to alter the payoff rate (in the computer) you can still mess with the nails. But the parlors were changing the rate with a computer during open hours.

I don't now the date all the older machines have to removed out of service, but now the serial number has to be destroyed on the machine to sell them.

All of the ones I am getting are that way. I asked, why and that the answer I got.

So, if total correct, that would mean lower pay outs ? but maybe more of them ?

Sounds sorta like the dif between an "A" and a "B" machine currently... lower bonuses, but more of them?

In the states, I don't know of anybody who has one to sell.
Japan I have seen them about one a month come up, in the red and yellow frame.
It was in the 80 buck range, but for that old a machine the shipping will kill you.
you would have in it $400 range.

So, how much would you estimate a TZ would go for on eBay, Arby? This forum certainly has created interest in the machine. And, NO, I'm not selling mine.
