Default Pinball to Pachinko - Power Roulette

    Hello all,

Thanks for having me. I am pinball collector with a few restores under my belt. Pachinko is something I've admired a couple times but have never had the chance to play. Today I picked up my first machine from a family member and am excited to get working on it.
Being that these are Japanese, are there manuals as well as schematics for the roulette controller board? Also is there an area with documented restores?
    All help is appreciated!

    Thanks

welcome, from another member that was into pinball and then also got into pachinko. Power Roulette is a great machine, and fairly rare. I have one here, too.

There’s pretty much zero info available in terms of factory data about vintage machines whether it be manuals, schematics, etc. it’s a far cry from the pinball collecting hobby where practically every last detail about any given machine is available.

Thanks for the replies. I have balls on order so I can give it a go before breaking it down and cleaning etc. Overall looks complete and in good shape, thinking it should clean up nicely.

There is a disconnected low voltage wire that I'm guessing does the '15' light? Think I saw a couple pictures of them tied into the quick connect buttons.

    Welcome to the addiction.

The orange and white are your 10 vac connections. Light behind the 15 should flash on a win. Luight behind the orange circle is your low ball indicator.

That is an awesome first machine to get, quite sought after.

Was able to get some shiny new balls for the machine and it all works great!
All the lights work aside from the ones requiring a 9V battery as I understand it.
We've been having some fun playing it and now I'm thinking towards restoring it.
I have done a couple complete pinball restores including the cabinet, tumbling and polishing or replacing all playfield parts and machinery down to the last screw. These get pretty time consuming and pricing but in the end the value has justified it.
Not really having any concept of the value of various pachinko machines, I am curios to know if the end value justifies ordering all available new parts and putting the time in?
Or does it make better sense to make it shiny and leave it at that?

    Thanks in advance.

With most vintages its probably best to go into a restoration not expecting a return on your investment, although some fully restored standard vintages can sell for a good price, I wouldn't recommend going into it expecting a payday!!

But with any of the Special Elecs you will probably always be able to sell it for a good price, so I doubt there's much risk in putting some money into it..And pachis are always happier when they are shiny and clean!!

there are no parts.. you will have to find another machine and part it out if you need parts.

as said, being a power machine there will always be interest in it.. clen it and restore it to your wants and needs.

if you use a center tap transformer you don't need a battery..

Was directed to a place that has replacement playfield decals, spinners, and nails though I could tumble these ones I have.
Everything is in pretty good shape but maybe I'll go for the full restore.
Were these machines originally sold with a factory cabinet and is there any reason to fix up the one I have with it?
    Thanks

I used old wood flooring pieces to make feet for my pachinkos. Gotta recycle that old lumber!

any parts your going to find are surly used parts form vintage machines.. Not that there is anything wrong with that.. playfield and decals are made by enthusiast / members hear

no such thing as a factory cabinet.. the machines were pluged into holes in a long parlor setting.. then removed and sold for parts scraped.. then exported.. im sure there were importers that made cabinets to sell but these were never factory units..
