    Default Hanabi Hyakkei LCD

    Hey Guys,

Thinking of picking up this machine, sounds like a really neat one, watched a video of it on stealth, and it seems really nice,

Any comments or suggestions? anyone have any problems with it?

How about the screen in a bright room? on all the video's the big lcd panel ones like this machine always seem to be really dim, unless the room is dark, is this just the camera?? or is it hard to see in a bright room?

Btw, I can get it $159 USD here in canada, is that a good price?

    Thanks

Hello, it is a nice machine and screen is easily visible in any light. I personally like the beast sapp better but I like the Fighting Themed machines myself. Not a ton of action in the video. Possible problems could be reel lights. many of them tend to have some color blown in them. There are 6 tri colored LEDs behind each reel in a single cluster. Very hard to get replaced if at all right now. Make sure that all reel lights have all colors showing in each of the 6 spots behind each reel. I still need my replacements DGI. Mike : )

This is my favorite machine right now. I am a big fan of fireworks so that may have a little something to do with it. It is a fun game to play and new things come up from time to time that I haven't seen before.

Are you sure they are LED's

i thought they were supposed to last like 100,000 hours or something like that
and couldn't you pull the light bulb holder out and solder in replacement leds?

    would that work?

I think that would be very hard to do and then where would you find the replacement ones. Its till fully playable with partially blown LEDs but you may notice a Blue or Yellow tint to your reel. Mike : )

Im very picky about my machines, and you can hardly see the tint, and if you PLAY the machine for awhile it goes back to normal, you will not notice at all with the stunning graphics and the shinny case around the reels.

How easy is this machine to understand? I have heard that it is practically all in Japanese.

    Eric,
I'm not too sure about that paticular model but the pachi I had (before the transformer started smoking) on stealth's video, the lcd was really dim. On mine, if you would stand about 3ft+ away from it, it was dim but if you are sitting or standing right in front of it playing, it was bright as day and everything was nice, clear and crisp on the screen. But just like with the older flat screen lcd tvs, you have to be right in front of it to see it clearly. ex, if you move to the side of the machine, all you see is light, you can't make out what is on the display. but to make the long story short, if you are in front of it and playing it, you will have no problem....

btw, welcome to the forum, I hope you are able to fill your home with pachis and your brain with pachi info thanks to pachi talk .

I found it very easy to figure out the machine and the clues to upcoming bonuses.
