I have 1 per machine. I stand and play so it works for me, But I can see it working with a normal chair.
I, too use this stand for my machine (soon to be more, i hope). It works great, and is a good size. Even whenmy machine is fully loaded, this stand stays very sturdy. I recently moved and the stand still is as strong as the day I put it together, plus, I am planning on cutting a hole in the top for the token overflow, just like the do in the parlors!

A little industrial looking but here's the stand I use:

Just leave off the top shelf and upper tubes (each leg is 2 pieces). Buy another set and use the extra shelf from the first set to make 2 more (no feet on one though). Says each shelf will support 350lbs. Purchased at Lowes for 39.95. Casters-12.95. With wire shelf, overflow goes right thru to a tray on lower shelf.
The casters make it convenient for those with little room, can be rolled away to a closet (yes, I know, me bad. Should be played with!)
