Default K1 (LCD) Set up issue

I just received my K1 Punch Rush LCD machine. The LCD screen is on some sort of set up menu where as near as I can tell will let me set volume control plus 17 other options, most of which are in Japanese. I cannot figure out how to exit the menu so that I can play the game. I have tried to reset up no luck. Any help?

The reset will do it. Make sure you tap the spin knob to let the machine know you're done doing your editing.

I knew Tulsa would chime in on this one being that the K1 is his favorite machine! :approve:

Nothing like watching him give the ol' one-two to a futuristic metal spiked heavy bag.

I thought the Spin Luck was his favorite, to be replaced by the King Camel soon.

He just tells everyone that the Spin Luck/ soon to be King Camel is his favorite, but deep down the K1 is still number one in his heart.

The K1 is the only machine he keeps in his bedroom and sleeps with, but shhhhhhh... keep it quiet!

I turn off the machine, insert the reset key and turn it to the right. I turn on the machine and the menu screen is there. I do see that my difficulty level switches back to one (from three) so that resets. But nothing else happens. I hold the spin knob down but it has no obvious effect. The LCD screen keeps the menu screen up. Is there a reset button somewhere or should the LCD screen change? I appreciate your help. Thanks, Don

Okay, I just did this on mine.

    Turn it off
Turn the key to the right
    Turn it back on
    Adjust your odds as needed
    Tap the knob
Turn the key to the left
    Turn it back off
    Turn it back on
If the time/date is still showing, touch the X button.

Let us know if this works.

I just tried that three times and the date/time (menu) screen is still there. I am not sure if it means anything but even with the reset key out, I can change the odds. Does not seem like I should be able to do that. Is there a reset button anywhere? I would think I should be able to exit this menu screen another way. Is there anything else to try or info I can supply? Thanks, Don

If the K1 has tokens in it when you turn it off at the power supply, not by unplugging it, it will retain it's memory and the video will show right off. If the machine is out of tokens and it's turned off or power is removed, it will display the time and date upon boot up. In which case if you do not need to adjust your odds, you would simply touch the X button on the left side to produce the video.

The only way the odds setting will stay on the screen with the key in the left most position is when you have not yet activated the setting by pressing the spin knob.

If yours is still allowing you to adjust the odds setting and you have the key to the left and out of the unit and you depressed the spin knob with the key in the right position, then something is not right because you are not exiting the edit mode of the machine as will happen once you turn the key to the left.

have you tried putting some tokens in and playing,

date-time usually goes away when you put tokens in or press max bet button and play it.

I got it! I discovered the connection between the spin knob and wiring was disconneced. Must have happened during the shipping. I reconnected, reset and received the video. I will put the tokens in and see if I can get this baby running. Thanks Tulsa! Glad to know there is someone out there with the same machine. Don

Must be your favorite, sitting right next to your computer so you can test it for us. That's so nice, I hear some people make their K1s sleep in the garage.

Who would do such a thing? I keep mine happy and spit-shined cleaned and polished.
