    Thumbs down Sagging Door Problem

How do you fix a sagging door. I see no adjustments on the door hinge, and I have looked at all the mounting plates. I just don't see any way to adjust it short of removing the door and drilling new holes.

It may help to say this is a Million God Machine.............

You can do as they do in the parlors, Just counter bend the door and that will help.

I would try and get some new hinges. Unlike the hinges used by IGT which are adjustable, the Eleco hinges do not appear to have an adjustment.

I just had to fix my Tom Cat from the shipping goons. I had to bend a hinge back in place. The door was sagging a Little so I took the door off again and bend the hinge to the left if looking at the machine front. That fixed the problem. To take the door of the top hinge should have a metal keeper with two screws holding it in place to keep the door from being able to move up and off the hinges. You first need to disconnect any wires plugged into the door then take out the metal keeper and the door should slide up and off. There may be more then one keeper so check the other hinges. Take a players on both sides of the flat part of the hinge and bend it a little. put the door back on without the keeper and hooking up the wires to check. Do a little bit at a time. Hope this helps you.

I have adjustable hinges on the Charlies Angels but see no adjustment on the MG. They look to be set with five screws...two on top,two on bottom and one at the back. You think that swapping the bottom and top hinge would help?

I had a sagging door on a Eleco and all I did was snug down the screws tighter to fix it.

My Gamera has the same problem. (It was scratching the stand) As always, I took the low tech approach. And put a token under the leading edges of the machine. This took care of the problem me.

From that picture, there is a screw inside the center of the hinge that you turn to adjust it out. Now you have to remember that these are reversed, so you turn it backwards to tighten and forwards to loosen.

    DiskDevil,

Don't feel cheated. As you can see many have had the same issue. I would guess at least 25% sag. I counter bent my current one with a mini crow bar after adjusting didn't seem to help.

My Yamasa sags also scuffed the wifes antique cedar chest (OOPS) when I find a more permanant home for the machine (not going to move it just yet, she will see the mark!) I will need to touch up the chest I put a couple spacers (tokens) under front to keep from scuffing it worse.

Old thread, but I figured I'd post anyway. My door was sagging very badly. Hinges look good, not bent, or damaged. It turns out the frame was a little out of whack. I re-squared it, and glued the joints. That did it.
