Default Sanyo Bussan - First Pachinko - Iím Hooked

My in-laws gave me their old Pachinko machine. It was dirty and all jammed up. Iíd never seen or even heard of these before, but it seemed interesting so I started working my way through how it functioned. The more I cleaned it up and messed with the mechanisms, the more blown away I became with how sweet these things are. I love it!!! Now that itís all cleaned up and functioning like new, I have a few questions.

    1) Is there a ďsweet spotĒ to aim for to increase the odds of getting a jackpot? To put it another way, is there skill involved on a vintage pachinko machine?

    2) Can someone help my determine the production year of my machine? Iíll attach pictures.

    3) For some reason my pictures are coming out sideways. What am I doing wrong?

    4) Iím sure there are a lot of factors to consider, but whatís this machine worth?

Depending on how it is set up, scoring pockets may be easier or harder. You may want to look into checking the positions of the nails to make sure the machine isn't set too hard. There are a number of postings around the site about this. You may want some purpose-made tools.

On value, I have no real idea, but I can relate my own experience and opinion. I bought my Nishijin Model B for $80 working and in good condition. Vintage machines don't seem to carry a lot of value unless they are somehow special or unique. In the USA it's a very niche product. I bought my wiz-bang modern hanemono machines for about $400 each. You'll see vintage machines all over eBay for many hundreds of dollars, but to my mind those people are daydreaming.

There was mention of mud when it comes to rotating the pictures... 😂😂😂. I use an IPhone, and I just donít see any option for rotating. Iíll post these for now, and reread the link to see what Iím doing wrong. Thanks for the help!
