Sankyo Lumna indiana jones pachinko questions

Hi All.

New to the board but already used the awesome info here a number of times for my vintage pachinko.
I recently acquired the unit in question and it's my first modern pachinko. I found some info on the board here as well as from the Lumina manual, so I've mostly figured it out. Two questions still remain

1....what does the Chance button do? Such a noob question.
2....the unit has a Volume Control switch under the ball tray in the back, but it literally does nothing. You can tell the speaker is hooked up to it because it pops slightly when you move the settings on the switch, but the deafening volume remains. I read in the manual found on this board that there should be a Fine Volume Control setting on the speaker but I cant get at the speaker! Any advice here?

Welcome Aboard

If you press and hold the start button during power up, you should see the frame lights cycle round. Apart from that. If its requires (during a reach video or chance) there will be an on screen message telling you to hit it.

Fine Volume Control. Thats a first on the Lumina Frame. Its range on the 3 postition switch is

Loud, Louder, Oh god my ears are bleeding

Most people fit after market volume controls to it. If you have a door key and turn it to the left. It will pop open the front glass showing you the 2 speakers at the top. Failing that. Muffle the speakers with some cloth. Like a duster.

Hi, I have the Star Wars pachinko in the same lumina frame and it has little potmeters installed next to the speakers to adjust the volume. That’s a good way to do it. Or find the sound wires at the back to install volume pots there.

I cant seem to get to the speakers...are they accessed by opening the front? I tried getting at them from the back and couldn't do it

Aha...and without a key I assume it's time to call the locksmith!

No. you should be able to move the catches from the rear. moving one lever up opens one thing, Moving another down opens another.
Not very technecial, But I don't have a machine to give better detail on.

post a picture of the back side of your machine and we can direct you to the latch...

21 inches up (from bottom of frame) on left side on back of machine (against wood frame), there a small hook, push it down, and with other hand, reach over top of machine, and open door by just nicely pushing door open, and there you go

Thats good, It is also possible to de-pin the lock, so a solid flat object would work.

But you take the "Parlor Feel" from it if you gut the lock

Really. A de pinned lock looks the same as a nomral lock

Here is a pic of the back. I've tried triggering a number of the things there with no luck opening the front glass.

You can see the round cam in the middle of that picture. You need to simulate what would happen when you turn a key anti clockwise.
