But a 55 Gal drum!!! Can you imagine how many tokens would be in there!

If I lived close I'd bid on it since it's likely to go cheap because of the local pickup only option. Make it a project to sort out which tokens are which size, keep a bunch for my machines, and sell off the rest. You'd easily make up your initial investment.

I don't have a problem with the 0 feedback and being new because it is local pickup only so you pay when you pick up. If it isn't what you expected you still have your money. The only way I'd buy from a new seller.

I believe the seller is possibly a building owner and is trying to get rid of a few things from a previous tennant. His other auctions were for 100 8mm projectors, 225 xxx 8mm films, a coin counter, roll crimper (I won), printing equipment and these tokens. Must have been an adult arcade. Makes you wonder about the 'condition' of the tokens!

I live about an hour and half away and I'm thinking of bidding on them. I just dont know how I would get them in my truck, thats got to weigh alot. Maybe if someone wanted to go in with me, we can meet there and split it.

I'm waiting for the seller to tell me where he is so I can pick up my item. Hoped to at least see if it really is a 55 gal drum's worth. I don't think he'll write soon enough before the auction ends though. I've gotten 50lb boxes of tokens and they weren't very big in size so a drum's worth would be a lot!

I wish I lived closer; I'd love to get my fingers on more tokens for cheap. It bugs me that tokens cost so much. Even used ones tend to be around $40 / 1000 locally.

Of course, this adult video parlor thing is interesting. We have a couple of those between here (Milwaukee) and the WI/IL state border. Maybe I should go scope them out for tokens. heheh

If they are the right size, you could sell off 90% and buy at least 10 machines with the money. I may risk the $50. like I said, I dont know if I could get them home

For that many tokens / that much income from selling them, I'd happily be standing there for a few hours with a bucket scooping them into my trunk / floorboards / glove box to get them all home!

Hope they are .984 token. If they are then someone is going to get a GREAT deal and will make a lot of money. If they are not, You're going to be stuck with a big drum of tokens

Was just there, the tokens are too small (next size smaller than a quarter). They are in 106 bags of 1000. Hope you check this thread and your PM's soon crosschk!!

Was the drum full to the top ? Might be worth it for the scrap metal unless they are steel.

Not sure if they were in a drum or not. I figure 106,000 is about 1350lbs. I got about 4000 or so in a 50lb box. They were brass colored (showed me one).
