Default Undoing cyclic mod on 2008 Star Wars Pachinko Sankyo Crystella frame

    Hi all.

I recently bought the missing Star Wars pachinko.
1 minus is that it had been cyclic modded, and I want to try reverting it back to original style play.
Unfortunately, there has been removed far more then needed to my opinion to accommodate the cyclic mod parts.
I am glad the payout mechanism is mostly there. I only need to reconstruct the lower gutters and the payout gutter system.

Can anyone help me with pictures of an intact Crystella rear frame?
details needed of the gutter that goed to the front trays.
I'll post pictures if possible of what I need to fix.

    Thanks in advance!

    Danny

I don't have one, but its normally, just patching up the cut plastic, and making sure its smooth so balls don't get stuck. I've repaired some machines but not that frame.

    Lot of stuff cut away.
I somehow need to rebuild the payout gutter. That’s my main concern. The rest should be easy

There is an auction for an empty frame here.

I fixed it last weekend. I need to troubleshoot 1 issue but I already figured it out.
So happy it all worked out fine.
Story with pictures is on my Facebook page: Pachinko Balldozer.

although I would love to have an originally intact frame, this might get a bit too expensive.
At least I tried to get it as close to original as I could. I’m pretty happy how it turned out.
Even happier after I fix the last thing.

Here are the FB posts and pics for future reference!!

Undoing the cyclic conversion Part 1:

Took the pachinko apart to really get into in and start to undo the damage.
    Took the rear frame off.
Even took the game cell out to really get good access. Started working on the game side.
    Cycl1.jpg Cycl2.jpg
Undoing the cyclic conversion Part 2:

Took the gutter cover off to clean inside.
That was the dirtiest part of all.
That was nasty, now I want to clean the others there too. Found out the overflow for the payout gutter is already in here so all I have to do to the rear frame is reconstruct the gutters and put a back plate on it. That should be sufficient.
I thought it was a bit similar to the first one.
    Couldn’t be more wrong.
I am happy it is a fairly easy job up to now.

Made a cover plate for the upper tray gutter to close it again. Don’t want any balls to drop out there especially when the upper tray fills up.
    Cycl3.jpg Cycl4.jpg Cycl5.jpg
Undoing the cyclic conversion Part 3:

Done with the game side of the pachinko.
Made a cover plate for the bottom ball disposal gutter. While drilling a screw hole, it broke, so I decided to use tape instead to put it in. I might fasten it another way but for now it’s ok. It was a lot of work to make it fit in the first place so I didn’t feel like making a new one just now.
Put the game cell back in and called it quits for today.
Tomorrow I will start on the rear frame.
Need to get the dremel out again to smoothen the scars and make new gutters for it.
    Cycl6.jpg
Undoing the cyclic conversion Part 4:

    Reconstructed the gutters.
Put the frame back on the pachinko and manually fed some balls in the pockets to test it.
Not perfect but it works well.
Somehow 1 ball didn’t come out.
It can only be the top gutter, because the bottom is only used for draining the balls from the top ball tray.
Next stop: reconnecting the 2 loose wires.
They’re both orange so 50% chance I get it right first time. Unless the payout motor is AC. In that case is doen’t matter.
Fingers crossed 🤞 it will work nicely again.
As I’ll be soldering, I’ll extend the volume pot wires and install the pots on the back door.

This pachinko is not cyclic anymore.
    Almost there...
    Cycl7.jpg
    All done.
Played it for the first time today as non cyclic ‘normal’ pachinko.
Some payout balls roll into the bottom tray.
🤔 need to figure out why, because I think that is not something that has been modded
    Cycl8.jpg
    I see the problem now.
There isn’t a wall between the port to the upper tray and the overflow to the lower tray.
I need to make one as high as the top of the port. This will solve the prize balls into the lower front tray problem.
I’ve been thinking about wat could be the problem all day during work. Totally overlooked this.
This could be an easy fix.
    Tweaking and troubleshooting to perfection.
