    Default Model A Restoration questions

Hello. I am hoping in the next few week to begin restoring the Model A I just picked up. I’ve done 5 Model Bs, all different companies (Sanyo Comet II, Nishijin, Maruto, Okumura Yuki and Diiachi) and replaced the cell on 4 of the 5. All were slightly different as they are different companies with a little different design but as a whole very similar. The Model A is very different looking so looking to see if anybody who has done one has any tips ahead or if there is a link chronicling the steps somebody has taken I would appreciate a link. I just want to avoid any pitfalls of areas that may be of a concern if there even are any. I am most likely replacing the cell on this one as well.

    Thanks in advance
    Mike

Thanks Dan. I’ve done a handful of Bs so fairly comfortable. Is there anything in particular you would say be careful of when tearing down a model A? Thanks again

I usually start at the top and work my way to the bottom when removing the "guts". Same for a model A. Just be careful when you get down to the lower part, removing the middle tray assembly. Lots of staples on those Model A's!

Any specific problems you might run into, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
