    Default Help Identifying a Nishijin

Hello, I recently inherited a machine and I want to look into restoration. If anyone could help me figure out the year and model, and other relevant information, I would appreciate it

    Looks like a ‘72 or ‘73 Nishijin B.
I don’t recognize the certification stickers, but if you could get a legible close up of the one in the lower left corner of the playfield, and maybe the one in the lower right, might be able to get a better bead on the year.

Restoration-wise, the front looks pretty good — don’t see any water damage to the cell & most of the foil & paint look intact — have you tried running some balls through it?

Or post some pictures of the back to get a look at the guts...

Heres the two stickers on the front and a more close-up of the back. Let me know anything specific to look at.
As far as playing it, when i drop the balls down the back, they just stop at first chamber.

Wow. The date on your certification sticker is completely illegibly smudged. Normally, it would be to the left of this kanji “年” (year), which on your certification sticker (the one in the lower-left corner) is right below the digit 2.
    My guess is still 1972-ish?

Anyhoo, you’d definitely benefit from reading through some of the stickys here in the vintage section; perhaps start with http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...chinko-Machine , http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...-Model-B-Video , and the biggie http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...ds-thru-1-2010.
These will give you a good handle on how your machine works and how to get it there.

’Sides that, the back-end looks in good shape, though dusty (so give the cleaning thread linked above a read), and you’re definitely going to want to get some pachinko balls. (Say 500, to have plenty.)
