Default What to do with old pachinko balls

I have lots of old pachinko balls that are not good to use in pachinko machines, so I wanted to know what everybody ideas are on how to reuse them?

My first idea is a teenager alarm clock!

Step 1 Place pachinko balls in tin can.
Step 2 Place can in freezer until time to get up teenager.
Step 3 Lift sheet and empty can!

The pachinko balls will follow them no matter where the roll in bed.
Unless you try to be more than you are, what you are is all you will ever be.

Wrist rocket ammo ( so many pachinko balls got used as ammo in the 70's and 80's)

They're just under .45 cal (.433, to be specific), so you could get 4 into a 2.75" 12 gauge hull, shot cup to protect your barrel, some buffer to keep the shot pattern tight; all told, that's maybe an ounce payload. Say, 35 grains of smokeless flake powder?
Bing, bang, boom -- you've got yourself some serious ammo.

Please pardon what might be a dumb question (as I don't yet own a pachinko nor any balls for one) but what exactly makes the balls "not good to use"...??

Tried to edit this in, but was too slow.

My reject box. Other than the rusted ones on top, which I just dumped in, the rest were all tumbled and hand graded.

Definitely not something you would want running through your precious pachinkos!

Ultrasonic cleaning will certainly improve their condition, but I don’t think those are recoverable. Even if they came out near perfectly, the protectant chemical that further cleans and re-coats the balls is almost 100.00 USD. If they were mine, I’d toss them out

The rusted balls would make good slingshot ammo as TTC stated. I like to keep some not quite up to snuff balls on hands to use in machines before I clean them. If I just want to test that everything is functioning properly and work out mechanical errors before cleaning everything up I'd prefer not to run my clean balls through a dirty machine.

Making artwork maybe but using worn out pachinko balls in even non restored machines can cause problems with the machines

The Engraved pachinko balls can gather up more dust and stuff cause I have seen heavily worn ball paths in a lot of vintage machines and a few moderns .

Yes, if you could drill a hole through the ball you could make a necklace or a bracelet . Here on some engraved pachinko balls on eBay for sale

I think I will eventually tumble mine and coat them with a sealant (wax?) and put them in a display jar.

    Ooh!
Or, if you have a BUNCH of them and a bar, you could tumble them shiny, then make a custom bar-top with some clear floor resin:

The big issue making balls bad is due to a rough surface. If they don't feel smooth they will tear up the inside of a machine.

According to my dad, there have been a number of occasions where Toyota has poured them into some forklifts as extra counter balance weight.

    100 machines and counting...
