Default Sankyo 1975 Type General Wiring suggestions.

I ordered a wiring kit from EBay and it came in yesterday. The machine has 3 wire plug. It looks to me red is positive, black is negative, and white is ground which is not need. Should I do 1. Just shove the battery wires into the plug and if works leave alone. 2. Clip the 3 plug plastic thingy, flux and solder the wires. Test the wire and when works just solder the battery wires to the machine wire. Then Heat shrink and be done. 3. Clip the 3 plug. Find a two post attachment like most Nishijin B models I have seen. Mount the post. Attach machine wire to post. Screw battery wire to post. Thanks. Ps. Find the solder iron.

I would cut off the connector, connect battery to the Red and white wires. Black not required, parlor signal.

Thanks. Now I have to wait for a soldering iron to come in. I also have a 1970 Nishijin recycler. I am planning on getting with one of my friends who has a 3d printer and extend the ball drop on Sankyo. Some times the ball bounces out of the tray and becomes a cat toy.

I use drawer liner material in the tray to absorb the bounce.

I got it wired. I had to clean the ball out switch but that works now. Now I have tear it down to clean the jackpot light switch. But that can wait for later. Thanks for the helpful suggestions.

A good disassembly will also give you a chance to clean out the decades of accumulated schmutz from the back-end works. It may seem like a pain in the tuchus, but it will save you a lot of trouble in the long-run!

I have a friend with a 3d printer. For $5 he printed me the purple extension. The screw was .06 cents. So far no balls are bouncing out of catch tray
