    Default Battle Counter Question

    Heya all,

I just a got some battle counters and had a question about hooking it up. I now have three machines - Julie, Macross Frontier 2, and Evangelion 8 - and I have counters for each one. The battle counters I have are the Daiichi DLP-8P models. I'm pretty sure the Macross and Eva have little clips I can put bare wires in, but the Julie doesn't have that. Does anyone know if I can use this with the Julie? Which "C" connection should I be using? The Daiichi already has connectors on C10, C12, and C14 but the Julie doesn't have any of those.

Here are pictures of the back of the Julie and also of the control board for the Daiichi.

    Thanks in advance!

I believe. Its 3,4 and 5 connections on the the Julie (and all Lumina cel) contacts.
As to the interface board. Not sure, as all of my counters wire directly to the machines.

Leave the interface board the way it is. The numbers will not match and it’s ok. One is for # of balls through start pocket, one for fever, and one for high probability mode. Just hook the 3 attached to interface board to the 3 drunkenclam stated (may need to add wire and solder if you don’t have the right plugs). May also have to play with the “cn” locations on the back of the pachinko to find out for sure what does what.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I'm comfortable soldering directly to the machine so might looks for the little plugs somewhere.

I have a couple counters hooked up to Lumina frames in the following order. CN3 = C10, CN4 = C12, and CN5 = C14. With the control board facing upright the lower wire to each plug is hooked up to the #1 position on the game cell and the upper wire to the #2 position.

I found some small plugs that I whittled down enough to fit, yet snug enough to stay put. I also found some plug/wire sets in Japan that work well if you want a set of three.

Perfect, that definitely helps clarify things. If you do happen to have some extra connectors that I could use that would be awesome!

Sure thing, I'll drop you a wire (three sets) via USPS in the next day or two with a note.

    Yes the pun was intended!

I'll give you a ring - is the one I remember, and I'm "up there" in years, but not as old as Compirate
