    Snake1111: That CLASSIC is Escape From New York.

    Arby: Wasnt Jon Arbuckle the owner of Garfield the Cat? LOL

    My name comes from what I used to do for a living, fix cars. I got the hard cases so they called me Mr. Fixx one day and it stuck...

    Hey folks,

    Just used the one my mother gave me. I have never warmed up to the idea of using an alias - unless, of course, I did something nefarious enough that simple prudence would suggest the use of an alias was warranted. In that case, maybe I would try Wileman!

    Best wishes,
    Dave Wile - Wileman!

    If you think Brad was not imaginative. This is the same username format I use at the office. One less piece of trivia I need to remember. I am who I am. No illusions.

    I used to do some stupit and CRAZY things when I was younger. Which I will not go into. It is my nickname. My middle name is OTTO. I also have it on my license plate. In Illinois you can only have 7 letters or numbers, maybe more now.

    johntrofva. That is such a good thing to here! Heinlein is the best! I like Clark to and started with Clark but when I found Heinlein he became my favorite. I to have read all his books. I still have everyone in paperback and someday I will start collecting in hard cover. The moon is a harsh Mistress was my first of his. My sister gave me a copy.
    I did not start reading anything other than a text book until my freshmen year in high school. Then the school stared making us take one hour a week during class to read a book. Each week it was a different hour so no one class got socked all the time. At the time I thought this was stupid and outrages to make us read! Well you could not Read a text book or a magazine so I when to the library. Didn't even know ware to begin. I saw some paperback books on a rack looked at them and one caught my eye. I did read the sort of comic story in the back of the Boys Like magazine.Here was a book I knew! It was a full story in a book form. It was called The City Of Gold and Lead. I can still remember it. I read that book and another world opened for me. I thank the people that made me read a started that reading program in school. If I was not forced to do it under a time when I was supervised I may not have found such a great thing as reading. Lazarus.

    As for my screen name, When I was born I had a cleft/club foot and was sent to Riley Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis IN. There I got my foot fixed after just one operation. I have hearing problems so I went there for that also. (now that you know my medical history, lets get to the point here)

    When my brother was born he had some problems also, during his first 21yrs of life, he has had the following # of surgeries: 12-eye, at least 21 ear surgeries (including getting "tubes" put in) in which he also got a cochlear implant, 4-heart caths, 3-openheart surgeries (including a donor aortic valve, god bless you donor in heaven and your gracious parents) So as you can see I spent alot of time up there as a youngster, And it kinda s*cked all this kids worse off than my brother and I were just lying there. No hope for them to live into adulthood, parents have went on about life working or whatever and I was determined to one day put a smile on their face. I kept applying for volunteer jobs but wouldn't get accepted "You live too far from our facility" So back in 2002 I got a room at one of those weekly motel thingies, opened up a p.o. box (even though, I never got any mail, but I had a local address though)got a temp job working for security at night and during the day I would dress up as Scooby Doo and play with the children there and at times it was hard, but by golly I got atleast a lil grin from every single kid I saw. Some of the bigger kids that where able to go home wanted someway to stay in contact with me, so I set up an email addy. but the problem was, I had to have numbers in my email. so instead of Scooby_Doo_Mike, I resorted to Scooby_Doo_m2002. When my summer was over I came back to southern IN. but kept the email addy with yahoo. Don't get email very often, maybe 1 or 2times a month. But anyways, I just use scooby_doo_m2002 on everything because its easy to remember.

    I have a 1957 Thunderbird, and I wanted a Personalized License Plate so I came up with the letters OL-BIRD meaning (OLD THUNDERBIRD) for the plates.

    When I purchased a matching Black truck use to pull the T-Bird and trailer to shows I came up with a Personalized License Plates for the truck that went with my hobby using letters TBRDMAN meaning ( T-BIRD <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:stockticker>MAN</st1:stockticker> )

    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

    When the Pachislo hobby grabbed me by surprise I took OL-BIRD and TBRDMAN and added Pachi and came up with OL-PACHIMAN meaning (OLD PACHISLO <st1:stockticker>MAN</st1:stockticker> )

    What can I say about mine? I started using my wife's ebay name (Laurierocs). She actually found this forum and signed up with that name, but then she got upset when she found me using it and made me pick my own.
