    Default Help with Sanyo Machine

Hello! We recently acquired our first Pachinko machine! Everything seems to work great, except I have found an issue with the jackpot mechanism (if that what it's called...). When you get a jackpot, a ball goes down into the seesaw, falls onto the lever, but then the lever seems to get stuck halfway, not allowing the jackpot of release any balls. Upon further inspection, there are two little levers that get hit when you get a jackpot that release the balls. On my machine, it looks like the right lever isn't going all the way back up, and it's causing the lever to not activate the jackpot. Hopefully that makes sense, ill include some pictures to show what issue I'm having. I'm sure theres some technical terms I could be using to make this simpler haha! If I push the little lever up to where it is supposed to be, then the next jackpot works, but the lever seems to only go partway up again. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get this little lever to go back up an allow the jackpot to work correctly?

co you have enough balls for the machine??

some times people put wd40 or other lube on the piviot points to make the machine work better.. the problem is it is a short term fix and creates a long tearm problem.. the spary will work like a magnet and make things worse..

if you have enough balls then try taking apart the piviot points and clean them really good put them back dry with no spray..

    and of course

We just got about 1000 balls, and the hopper is full. That would've been the easy fix haha! I'll see what I can take apart and clean. I should've mentioned this earlier but the lever does move freely when there are no balls. When balls go in, that's when the problem starts. Something else I just noticed is that it looks like the balls on the right side of the jackpot assembly are not even with the ball on the left side. You can see it in the pictures. I don't know if that's normal or not...

Have you had a chance to check the Sanyo manual (courtesy of CarlW)?
    http://www.pachitalk.com/Vintage/San...structions.pdf
It has a section on jams that may (or may not) be helpful.

Additionally, the same member also has a bunch of videos on setting up a Sanyo for play. Here’s one:

This might have some information useful to you, as well.

    Good luck!

So after playing around with it, I have figured out the issue is that the balls are not loading into the jackpot assembly evenly. The balls have to be in a certain position for the levers to go up all the way to allow the arm to trigger the jackpot. The balls are entering correctly on the left, allowing the left lever to go up, but there's more balls entering in the right, which is causing the right lever to get jammed. Now that I have completely figured out the problem, I have to figure out a solution....

Check for crud in the suspect track blocking the free travel of the balls.

It's Fixed!!! After playing around with it, I noticed the little metal tabs that hold the balls in the jackpot assembly were bent in a little. After slightly bending the right side of the tab out, the balls no longer got stuck and the jackpot works perfectly!
