    Default Jokers Wild Pachislo issue

"New to me" Joker's Wild Pachislo. Former owner said it lights, but that's it, tokens just drop through. I don't even get lights. Plugged it in, have a hum from the side transformer and that's it. Checked the 3 marked fuses, all look fine. Pulled out the reels... and there's a fuse socket behind the reels that is empty. I didn't see any markings on size of fuse. Checking here, I see that it is suggested that it is maybe a .5 or 1 amp fuse.

I'm pretty sure that replacing this fuse isn't going to magically make the whole thing light up and start working.

If I can't figure out the fuse for it, can I just unplug the S1655aP1's ribbon cable that connect so the board on the left to make it a regular skill stop?

Vacuumed it out with an antistatic vac attachment, used a small paintbrush to get into the crannies. Pulled the token mech, cleaned it out. Reseated many of the connectors. I can get the coin mech to spit out tokens, so it seems power is working somewhat. I disconnected the autostop ribbon from the board on the left with no change.

Progress. Got it to come on. Now stuck on CE. Reading it says to remove the coin exchanger and check for oxidation. Now that it is lighting up I see I need to get a bunch of bulbs! Moved one around from place to place and it lights when I plug it into a dead one so need to do those. Bit late to tear into the coin exchanger tonight. Haven't gotten it to take a coin yet, or spin reels. Baby steps.

could be and most likely a duff sensor on the coin mech.

Thanks for pointing out the CE was the sensor, I'd have thought "Coin Exchanger" was the mechanism that holds tokens/dispenses winnings.

Success so far. Took the coin router off, and cleaned it and the sensor with isopropyl alcohol. Also the spring that is like a clothespin spring wasn't clicked in on the backside. Bulbs arrived today so I swapped em all over with one that I knew was lit, and ended up replacing 2 dead bulbs. Had the CE error after cleaning, but once I put a couple tokens in it, it cleared and kept them and added them to the spin credits and then let it spin.

Still has the missing fuse in the autostop and the stop buttons don't work (maybe because of the autostop) Spins a loooooooong time til it gives up and stops. But it's playing now.

The stop board takes a 1amp fuse. The two that I have in use are stamped OKA 1A on the ends but I don't know the voltage rating (250V?) or if these are slow or fast burning fuses.

Thanks! I'll get a pack of fast. If they blow too quick I'll think on getting something else. Saw someone else here had a bad cap that kept blowing fuses there but so far all I know is that it's missing.

Fuse in, also added an auto-stop board tonight. Still gives a CE once in a while but turning the key to the left clears it. Hopefully it works out of that. The error pops up even when not inserting tokens. I have a lot of tokens to clean yet, using tokens from my other one instead of the tokens that came with this one. But... not too bad. $50 for the machine, $27+5 ship for the auto-stop board, $10 for 150 fuses (got a box of various, only used 1), $14.50 for 20 bulbs (used 2).

My bet button is on the left on the one upstairs, I imagine the left button is the credit button on this one... maybe. Or a reset. Dunno. But it works.
