    Default Which machine is this

    Hello,

I'm new to the pachinko world... I have experience with pinball machines, but, this is my first Pachinko one!

I bought this machine for 40 euros... and now I will work over it!

First of all, how can I know the machine model/name? I know it is a Nishijin... but which model? It's a good one?

My second doubt... I have the keys to open the pachinko machine... but I don't have the keys to open the money/bills insert (left side of the cabinet). How could I open it???

The whole cabinet is super heavy.

My last doubt for now...when I open the pachinko glass and access the interior of the cabinet, I can see a lot of "cut" wires. I'm afraid to turn it on to test. Is that normal? How can I make a first test?

Thanks for now guys... I really appreciate your initial help!

    My best regards,

    Bal

Welcome to Pachitalk! Your machine has been converted to an arcade machine. Not sure what the name is. As an "early modern", I'm not even sure they had names yet. The machine itself runs on 24 volts AC. If the machine can be isolated from the "arcade conversion", then it can be easily tested. The "arcade conversion ,however; is another issue. If the machine was to be used in Japan, then the transformer that plugs into the mains would be for 100VAC. Here in the US, we use 120VAC. it don't seem to be an issue to plug 100VAC things into 120VAC. Almost everywhere else uses 220VAC. Big problem if wrong transformer is installed.

I don't know why it went to bold print...so I just posted it and continued.
As far as the cut wires...a closer pic of the area might be helpful. I won't be much help, because I can only do the most basic wiring, but someone else may be able to help. Unfortunately, this type of arcade version is uncommon, and I'm not sure if any members have one to use as an example. The lock on the cash box can be drilled out, and replaced. Not that you would actually need a locking cash box.
Looking at the pics to see the cut wires (I can't see any) I noticed the machine is well integrated into the conversion. I'm not sure if it can be easily separated and used by itself.
The first thing to do is find what power is required at the mains.

Hi Pachiwall... thanks for your fast reply! The machine is here in Europe (220v) and it was prepared for that. The previous owner turned on for me... you can see lights coming from the center of the pachinko machine (red digital display with numbers).
About the arcade conversion... is this good? It really looks well made! I think I will need to find someone used with those machines...a technician to help me.
I just have some few pachinko balls... can I test with those?
Even if I turn it on... I will need to put money to try... I think.... but the machine is an old machine and works with "chillings" (old Austrian currency)... I don't know how could I deal with that! Maybe opening the safe box I could find some old coins or bills!!!
I will keep trying to open... without drilling... let's see.
I will keep posting updates here... ;-)

    Thanks again!!!

    春夏秋冬 西陣

    Spring Summer Fall Winter Nishijin

I guess 4 seasons would be easier to say.

I guess it's cyclic as modded to an arcade machine. So 40 balls should be enough. A proper parlour pachi will need at least 50-100 balls in the rear tank to remove any low ball errors and 300 to make playable.

Easiest way to get balls back into the machine is just pop open the glass and drop balls into the ball exit at the bottom of the playing field.
