    Default Cleaning Pins

Figured it's time for a post about anything else besides my broken machines..

I am super OCD about having pristine Pachinko machines (this is the wrong hobby for that ). When I get a new machine, before I play it I'll put serious hours into deep cleaning it. Basically everything that doesn't require taking the cell apart is getting cleansed. Dry film on moving plastics to the ball track usually getting an ultrasonic cleaning to cleaning pins..

Cleaning pins takes the longest by far (for me), but it's the most notable change.. I use the blue Metal Chrome Polish on q-tips and apply almost nothing to the nail and the nail body. I then use a Dremel with small cotton discs at a low setting and everything comes off and looks like new. Then take clean qtips and quickly get any residue off the nails. Then, hit the cell with foaming window cleaner and the Cell Pica- looks great! Here's a before and after of CR-I want to be the strongest.

What technique works best for you?

I like to pull all the pins with a modified wine cork puller. I then soak them in vinegar for 30 minutes . Next I put them in a ball mill with black walnut shells. The vinegar cleans the tarnish off and the walnut shells shines them and puts a coating on to keep them bright.
