Default Hive Racers - An Algodoo Adventure

A few of the live stream channels on YouTube were setting up marble races as a method of randomizing their drawings and keeping their viewers entertained.
They were using a program called Algodoo which is free to download.
It's a physics playground available for PC and iPad and has been in a development stall for a couple of years it seems...

After looking over many marble races of redundancy, learned a bit of how the software worked.
There were 2 actual pachinko entries, but not what I had in mind for easy adaptation into what I wanted.
My original design paid off by adding more balls, and as a real machine it overflows on one side or the other...

Hive Racers is just a team random picker.
Each color starts with same number of balls into the hopper.
Hit a target or BEE eliminated.
Play ends on last ball out.

Number of teams is adjustable as well as number of balls per team. Have been using 16 teams with 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 per team.
5 ball teams last 5-8 minutes and 10 ball about 12-16 minutes, progressing upward as you increase number of balls.

Working on modular parts for things like spinners and tulips. Have been working from photos for many of the designs based around vintage machines.

This was the last one I did and later saw it in action (shoutout Carl Wegman on YouTube) and how the actual miniMouth worked.
Many of the features rely on gravity and balanced pivot points. Well Algodoo has some of it and sometimes you work around it.
Since the pins are sorted mostly... and the tulips... and the spinners...
Working through the Nishijin catalog pdf as best I can...

    Buzz ON...
