I will try the dongle tomorrow and not sure what dongles I have , how can a dongle be blowing a fuse ? If its a new dongle I need does anyone have a spare I could buy please ?

I might have a spare one lying around. But will have to check.

As to how can a dongle blow the fuse. Quite easily. The dongle takes power from the machine to switch on the shooter. If the contacts on the dongle are damaged. It can cause a short across the 24v contacts and blow the fuse.


What ever you do. DON'T try to substitute the fuse for something else as you could damage the machine.

Can a dongle blow a fuse then ? The board the dongle is on also has a fuse holder , what is the name of my actual machine you know the theme of it ? I know its a Japanese cartoon show or something but if I wanted to watch the cartoon on YouTube what do I type in ?

If its a faulty dongle will a dongle from one of my sankyo machines work on it ?

The one from the UY3 is being sent to me for checking. LUM is quite happy with a dongle from another machine.

Dongle arrived and checked. It looks like the resister got crushed and shorting out on another pin. Repaired and tested on Maison Ikkoku for an hour ok. Removed it a put a gloop of resin over the contacts to prevent further issue. Just need to post it back.

Hi how much each are your dongles ?

Tested and sent the original back, Big blob of glue on it to prevent crushing, no parts used. So no charge on that one.

as for anymore.

Its a pain to make them now Maplins has gone bust. its a pain to order packs of 10 of each component. I'll never need that many these days.
I don't have any spare. Might just get a few next time I order from Japan
